Professional Profile

Ms. Dickerson’s more than 20 years of experience working on schools in Southern California includes dozens of projects, for multiple school districts, covering a wide array of project scopes.  She has successfully seen these projects through the entire construction process, from construction documents and DSA approval through to Construction Administration and closeout.

Personal Story

When asked about becoming an architect, Connee recalled it was because of a friend who had started an architectural program that interested her. Her father had also built two of the homes she lived in growing up, and she had watched him closely during each construction. After high school, she attended college for two years in New York getting her associate degree, and then transferred to Arizona State University.

After about a year at ASU, she got a summer internship in California. That internship helped her to develop her architectural skills and bloomed into her career. “I’m more construction detail-oriented than design oriented,” she said. “I find building schools that impact children in a positive way to be motivational and gratifying.” Getting her license in the next five years is a big goal and she is inching her way forward to the finish line.

Connee has a lot of energy and works hard with a very keen focus but she also knows how to separate work and play. “I love live music and attend a lot of shows. I also enjoy spending time with my 120-lb dog Chucky.”
