Hage Elementary School serves Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th grade, emphasizing parent-teacher collaboration and offering various programs for student development to enhance education. The modernization of the entire site includes the construction of a new kindergarten building and an addition to the administration building, creating a safer, more functional, and inclusive environment. The new kindergarten building will feature eight classrooms, restrooms, and exterior covered walkways.
Building renovations will include interior reconfigurations, accessibility upgrades, new flooring, roofing, and a full exterior repainting. Site improvements will consist of new drop-off areas, fire lane improvements, playground structures including Special Education-friendly play equipment, landscaping, fencing, biofiltration, and artificial turf. Additionally, there will be outdoor learning spaces, shade structures, graphics, and wayfinding.
The kitchen and multi-purpose room will be upgraded with a reconfigured serving kitchen with new equipment, a multi-purpose room with a permanent stage, an upgraded audio-visual system, and updated mechanical systems. Utilities will be enhanced with a new battery energy storage system and upgraded electrical service, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
