Project Scope
Modernization and New Classroom-Media Center Building
Temecula, CA
Temecula Valley Unified School District
“Our confidence in Studio WC resulted in the firm being selected for a high-profile project that is currently under construction. The project is a major modernization of Rancho Elementary School, which includes
three new buildings, an addition to an existing building, the addition of a bus loop in challenging terrain, plus some substantial modernization work on other existing buildings. Studio WC, in addition to the school
architectural experience, also has substantial civil engineering background which has been a major asset on this project in particular.”

Significant modernization, portable replacement and new construction at Rancho Elementary School has transformed this campus into a vibrant community school. Improvements and upgrades were provided across all existing buildings, including classrooms, the Multi-Purpose Room and the Administration Building, which received an 1,800 square foot addition as well, improving programmatic needs and creating a new welcoming face.
Unsightly and aging portables were replaced with a new 11,600 square foot building featuring a state-of-the-art library and media center, six classrooms with interior collaboration spaces, and an Idea Lab with direct access to an exterior learning garden.
Site improvements were also provided, including a reconfigured parking lot with new separate bus drop off, site drainage upgrades, new landscape areas with drought-tolerant plant material, and a new photovoltaic system to power the campus.
