Encinitas Union School District | Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary School Energy Upgrades
StudioWC provided architecture and engineering services for energy upgrades at Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary School at EUSD. The energy improvements included skylights in all rooms, revised lighting switching to A/B, extended canopy overhangs, replacement of all mechanical units, replacement of roofing with cool roofing, a rain water collection system, and a 172 kilowatt AC photovoltaic power system. The PVs are located in the parking lot and serve as shaded carports, as well as on hard court surfaces to provide shade in play/PE areas. The mechanical, lighting, and skylight upgrades reduced the utility loads by 25% and the PV is expected to provide 75% of the electrical demand.
Tustin Unified School District | Miscellaneous District-wide Improvements
StudioWC has provided architectural and engineering services for numerous projects throughout the District. From baseball scoreboards and shade structures, to relocatable buildings, HVAC and minor modernizations, and building additions, we have greatly enjoyed our working relationship with TUSD. Our most recent project is a brand new 6-12 school still in the planning phase.
Alpine Union School District | District-wide Photovoltaic Installations
StudioWC was the Architect of Record and member of the designbuild team for the design and installation of photovoltaics on 4 campuses at AUSD. The PV panels were mounted onto existing roof structures, and were designed to provide 185 kilowatt AC.
Castaic Union School District and Keppel Union School District | District-wide Photovoltaic Installations
StudioWC is the Architect of Record, and member of the design-build team for the design and installation of photovoltaics on 4 campuses for CUSD and 6 campuses for KUSD. The PV panels are mounted on elevated structures that serve as carport shade structures, as well as shade structures for hard court surfaces.
Santee School District | District-wide Energy Upgrades including Hill Creek School
StudioWC provided architecture and engineering services for the energy upgrades on 3 campuses at SSD. The energy improvement included skylights in all classrooms, replaced lighting and revised lighting switching to A/B, replaced windows, replaced existing 4-pipe central mechanical system with high-efficiency combination units, replaced of roofing with cool roofing, and increased insulation. Hill Creek School also included the addition of a 2-story classroom building and a 175 kilowatt photovoltaic system mounted on elevated structures over hard courts. The PV structures also provide shade for outdoor classrooms. There is an energy dashboard for the school, which allows students, parents, and the public to see the impact of the energy upgrades, which can be found here: http://www.buildingdashboard.com/clients/hillcreek/
