Temecula Middle School
Project Scope
Campus-wide Modernization
Temecula, CA
Temecula Valley Unified School District
Along with other scope items like new flooring across the campus, new HVAC, EMS, updated ADA, path-of-travel, and parking, StudioWC designed several upgrades for campus safety and ADA access in the band room as part of this modernization project for Temecula Valley Unified School District.
Site security was a huge factor in the design, as it is increasingly with every modernization we work on. Design solutions included: lobby security gates with electric lock to provide controlled access to the rest of the school; security film to windows and doors not behind school perimeter fencing; replacement of failing perimeter fencing sections with new, secure fencing; and retro-fitted existing front door hardware with thumb turn lock to easily secure the front door. Exterior upgrades include bicycle parking areas, pavement replacement throughout the campus, painting, gate hardware, and path-of-travel upgrades.
The TMS modernization was constructed as part of the 2018 Summer Sprint.
